What Is Your Story?

Everyone has a unique story to share about their life. Some people stories can be similar or they can be totally different. I want you to think about your life story and you can even write it down when you get a chance. This activity is to get you thinking about where you have came from and where you are going. You have to know where you came from so that you can get where you are going. Now that you have thought about or wrote down your story, whether it was about the struggles you went through, the environment you grew up in, the abuse you experienced (physical, sexual, emotional) and the good things you remember or all of the above, it has all made you into the person you are today. I want you to think about your story because you need to know that you can rise above whatever you have experienced in life and be successful at whatever your heart desires. Also, you can help other people who have gone through the same thing as you have by starting an organization or volunteering in areas that touch you in some way. Know that you are not your circumstances and there are many resources for you to get help or to help someone you know. Do not let your circumstances hold you back from achieving your dreams. Continue to pursue your dreams. Maya Angelou says, "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." So share your stories with others because you never know who it may help and don't let it keep you from following your dreams.
